Performs a variety of housekeeping services to maintain clean guest rooms according to established standards. Assists whenever possible by providing linens, amenities, or providing information to guests as requested.Job Duties
- Maintains high levels of facility cleanliness and appearance by performing routine cleaning tasks on a daily basis.
- Evaluates problems and implements appropriate resolutions as it relates to cleaning services.
- Performs a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
- Protects residents and employees by adhering to infection control policies and OSHA requirements.
- Keeps residence clean by removing trash, newspapers, and recyclables.
- Refreshes bath area by cleaning tub, toilet and sinks and removes used towels and bathmats.
- Cleans, discharges, and transfers with proper cleaning protocol.
- Ensures responsiveness to residents' needs by restocking housekeeping cart at end of each shift.
- Removes soiled linens from patient beds and transports to soiled holding area.
- Experience in housekeeping role
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.
- Strong Interpersonal skills.
Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
