About your role:

We are seeking a proactive and technically adeptIT Managerto lead and support our high-performing software engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring timely delivery of projects, resolving technical blockers, and aligning team priorities with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies, microservices architecture, and modern front-end frameworks, along with proven leadership and project management skills.
What you'll do:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Experience you'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in:
- Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
- Event-driven architecture
- Front-end frameworks: Angular and React
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
Experience in the financial services industry
