The objective of this project is to upgrade the PeopleTools engine onto version 8.60 (patch 11) from the current version 8.59 (patch 09). The PeopleTools engine is the core of the PeopleSoft system and its upgrade is a significant step towards remaining in support from Oracle, capitalize its cutting-edge features and cater supporting strategic business goals and objectives.
All existing modules within the agency which are currently used by city agencies will be able to adopt these new features and perform better. This version of tools also plugs many security issues in the current system and extends support to many newer versions of Databases, browsers etc.
This project will use the traditional waterfall model to govern the software upgrade process. This project will move sequentially through the fit-gap analysis, design, construction/retrofits, testing and implementation phases.
Preferred qualifications:
o Extensive PeopleSoft 8.x/9.x (v. 9.2 is plus) techno-functional experience with HR and Benefits Administration.
o Experience in documenting processes for HR, and/or Benefits; should also have five (5) full-lifecycle PeopleSoft HR and/or Ben Admin implementation experience.
o Working knowledge of app messaging (integration broker) is a must.
o Extensive experience with PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, App designer, SQL developer.
o Extensive experience working on PeopleSoft interfaces into legacy and 3rd party systems.
o Excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM Database model.
o Excellent understanding of systems development lifecycle methodologies.
o Experience working with an enterprise wide, large-scale implementation.
o Excellent communications skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
Education:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical/Business Discipline is required.
