Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching literature, writing, and language skills to high school students. This individual will create a stimulating classroom environment, encourage student engagement and participation, and foster a love for reading and writing.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
- Teach a diverse curriculum that includes literature, composition, grammar, and language usage while considering varied learning styles and needs.
- Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
- Passion for literature and the ability to inspire students to develop their writing and analytical skills.
