Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Fiber Construction Manager to join our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in the expansion of our fiber optic network. As a Fiber Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our fiber network projects, from initial planning to completion. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of fiber network projects, from initial planning to project completion.
- Collaborate with different teams, including design, engineering, and operations to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage all aspects of construction, including fiber splicing, and ensure adherence to design plans and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed according to project specifications.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and utility companies.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Telecommunication Construction, specifically Fiber Network Construction.
- Proven experience in managing large scale fiber network projects.
- Extensive knowledge of fiber splicing techniques.
- Strong understanding and experience with OSHA regulations.
- Experience with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) projects is a must.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in project management or fiber optic technology would be advantageous.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
