The University of New Mexico's OneStop Student Employment Office is seeking up to two (2) motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable students to join our team asHR Tech Assistants. This role offers hands-on experience in Human Resources and student employment processes, making it excellent opportunity for students interested in HR, business or administration.
Preferred, not subjected to: Business majors with a Human Resource concentration or related field.

- Review and processstudent hire paperworkto ensure accuracy and compliance.
- ProcessI-9 documentationand verify eligibility in accordance with federal labor laws.
- Maintainconfidentialityof student employment records.
- Processhiring requestsfor UNM's main campus as well as branch campuses like Taos, Gallup and Valencia.
- Ensure student employment processing is completedefficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
- Assist staff with orientations, Welcome Back Days, Student Employment Week and other events.
- Respond tophone calls and email inquiriesregarding student employment procedures, polices, and requirements.
- Assist students and departments with navigating through the student hiring process.
- Assist with compliance tasks related tofederal and state labor laws, UNM policies, and HR best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
