The FSU Economics Department is seeking to hire a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to join our Faculty in the Fall of 2026. Applicants from any field will receive full consideration. Ideal candidates would demonstrate clear potential to produce high quality research in applied structural estimation techniques that complement areas of strength in the department such as public, labor, health, innovation, industrial organization, or urban economics.
The Department welcomes applicants entering the job market for the first time and from more experienced candidates (such as Postdocs and advanced Assistant Professors). The successful candidate must show evidence of the potential to produce internationally recognized research (at the Assistant level) or have a strong track record of scholarship (at the advanced Assistant level). In addition to research, the usual teaching and service duties are expected. The ability to teach econometrics in the first-year core PhD sequence is desirable. Completion of all requirements for the PhD before the date of hire is expected.
