SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to respond to emergencies, assess patients; provide treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic Life Support standard curriculum. Also responsible to transport patients according to established protocols and assist Advance Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management. Must perform non-emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs vans and follow up with complete appropriate documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- AHA BLS required within 6 months of hire.
- Current certification as an EMT in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity if certified in another state.
- Valid Driver's license or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.
- PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
- HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
