PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to provide program support to both Manufacturing, CI and the Product Engineering organizations. In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans. This position will also be responsible for implementing cost reductions, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.
- Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.
- Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.
- Assist and develop Training program initiatives.
- Provide Administrative support to Reengineering activities
- Manage special projects that support lean manufacturing
- Design tools and fixtures using CAD
- Collect and analyze data to support team efforts.
- Conduct training sessions to support continuous improvement efforts
- Any additional duties assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 Year degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial)
- 1 Year of experience
- Strong knowledge of forging or metal working processes preferred
- Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere
SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Good computer skills (basic Microsoft software packages).
- Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
- Good organizational and writing skills.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 11 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
Relocation is authorized for this position.
