Job SummaryReports To:Director of Advocacy, SAFE Clinic, and Statewide Crisis Line
Purpose:Responsible for maintaining SAFE Clinic through administrative duties and volunteer program management.
Job Type:Part-time, hourly position. 25 hours per week. Hourly rate of $21.00 per hour. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Job ResponsibilitiesMajor Duties Include:
SAFE Clinic Administration:
- Assist the Director of Advocacy, SAFE Clinic, and Statewide Crisis Line with various administrative duties.
- Maintain supply inventory, ordering and stocking as needed.
- Submit labs from SAFE Clinic for testing.
- Release sexual assault kits to law enforcement while maintaining chain of custody.
- Work with vendors and maintain detailed logs.
- Submit expense requests for Advocacy and SAFE Clinic.
- Collect, evaluate, and report data for Advocacy and SAFE Clinic to ensure it meets all requirements for tracking internally and externally.
- Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and consistent with best practices.
- Model interdepartmental communication.
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
- Attend Criminal Injuries Victims Compensation training every 3 years.
- Attend regularly scheduled Advocacy Team meetings.
- Attend SAC monthly All Staff meetings.
- Always abide by confidentiality policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
MAP Volunteer Program Administration:
- Manage comprehensive facilitation of Medical Accompaniment Program (MAP).
- Review applications, interview, and onboard new MAP Volunteers.
- Planning and facilitation of evening MAP Volunteer Trainings, including scheduling, booking presenters, and preparing materials.
- Coordinate MAP Volunteer schedules.
- Collaborate with Director of Advocacy, SAFE Clinic, and Statewide Crisis Line to develop any new MAP Training curriculum, as well as routinely review existing curriculum to ensure training is trauma-informed and in adherence with best practices.
- Consistent engagement with existing MAP volunteers in order to promote retention.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field. Minimum of 2 years work experience in a related field. Other relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.Qualifications:
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of individuals representing multiple organizations and interests.
- Organized, detail oriented, and flexible.
- Ability to identify and respond to shifting priorities effectively.
- Ability to model trauma-informed approaches and cultural humility related to client care, supervision, and team/organizational wellness.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working within diverse communities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to navigate electronic record keeping systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with sexual assault victims/survivors and/or systems/organizations working on behalf of sexual assault victims/survivors.
- Experience working in or with health care settings.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
