Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking aCardiac Surgeonto join our expanding program as part of the Penn State Health Heart and Vascular service line. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collegial and well-supported team providing state-of-the-art cardiac care across central Pennsylvania.
The Position:- 100% Cardiac Surgery– practice exclusively cardiac cases at one site (St. Joseph Medical Center)
- Annual volumes include approximately120 open cases plus 40 TAVR procedures
- Collaborative environment working alongside experienced cardiologists and vascular surgeons
- Opportunities for academic appointmentat the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
- Access to clinical research and teaching, if desired
- Ability to engage in practice at other Penn State Health locations within the system as opportunities arise
- M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
- ABTS board-certified/board-eligible or foreign equivalent
