Salary. $90,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience, type of work, and qualifications). Bonus Program eligibility.(This pay range is a good-faith estimate of compensation for this role.)

Job Summary: Our Utility Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of underground utility installation and relocation on construction projects, including water, sewer, storm drain, and other public or private utilities. This role ensures that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, plans, schedules, and local regulations.
Other Requirements:All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References may also be checked. We participate in E-Verify.
Job Duties & Requirements:

- Communicate with estimators and customers to create a schedule.
- Work with Utility Foreman and assist with work schedule, daily and long-range.
- Oversee all utility work and ensure work is done according to the specs.
- Establish expectations and work ethics.
- Manage equipment and employees.
- Ensure Foremen coordinate workload with other departments as needed.
- Train and develop employees for advancement.
- Create a safe work environment and lead by example.
- Ensure equipment and people are scheduled.
- Ensure jobs are clean daily.
- Provide crews with what they need.
- Ensure foremen have a weekly and monthly schedule.
- Be a positive influence on others within the organization.
- Be professional and respectful by leading with integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
- Communicate changes as they happen.
- Communicate with job Superintendents and inspectors.

- Check field logs to make sure field reporting must-haves are on report before approving.
- Maintain proper communication with customers and estimators so they know when work is to be completed.
- Train and mentor field staff, promoting skill development and teamwork.
- Communicate any questionable areas on job with Estimators, before proceeding.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience of utility-related work
- The ideal candidate must possess a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Experience with trench safety, shoring, and confined space requirements.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly (daily).
- Regular attendance and overtime are required.
- Must have knowledge of the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs.
- Requires good vision for close tolerance work and any night work may be required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
- Must have the ability to hear, speak and follow directions carefully.
- Continually required to reach, pull, carry, grab, pull, and lift.
- Must possess both good strength and good endurance as work performed in all types of weather conditions.
