Environmental Field Coordinator

Kraemer North America is currently looking for anEnvironmental Field Coordinatorto join our Mountain West Region - CO area. The Environmental Field Coordinator is part of the construction management team responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local agency regulations and contractual requirements related to the environmental features impacted by construction of heavy highway projects. The Environmental Field Coordinator assists with scheduling, coordination, construction, and documentation of various environmental activities on construction projects.We value our people.   • Lead efforts, and work with other project management staff in planning, coordinating and implementing of environmental work elements on various construction projects
  • Assist in the pre-planning of various construction operations to identify potential environmental risks and assist project staff with utilizing appropriate mitigation measures
  • Conduct internal and external compliance audits on the performance of erosion and sediment control devices on active construction sites and ensure compliance with applicable permits
  • Coordinate and direct various project staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable permits and diligently work to resolve issues
  • Investigate field issues and provide written and/or oral follow-up resolution
  • Review, understand, and edit erosion control plans
  • Use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments
  • Periodically review changes to Federal, State, and Local Agency environmental laws, regulations, and specification requirements
  • Other field and office duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree (Science or Technical Field) or combination of applicable field/office experience in related field
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an office environment
  • Minimum One (1) year experience with direct staff supervision
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of erosion control and stormwater
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, developers, contractors, property owners, agencies, and the public
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Hiring Range:$60,000 - $85,000. Base salary is dependent on multiple factors: education, experience, skills, market rates, internal equity and/or location.
