  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.
  • Program, set up, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes using CAM software (Mastercam, NX, etc.).
  • Create and document efficient machine setups and fixture designs.
  • Translate engineering data into optimized machining strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining and programming issues.
  • Fabricate parts or tooling as needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure successful part execution.
  • Optimize programs for accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

Machinist Programmer III Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of CNC machining experience, including multi-axis programming. Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, GibbsCAM).
  • Strong understanding of G-code, post-processing, and 5-axis machining centers.
  • Skilled in GD&T and interpreting complex technical drawings.
  • Ability to work independently from CAD models and blueprints.
  • Aerospace or high-precision machining experience required.
  • Proficient with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) and ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proven ability to resolve technical machining challenges.
  • Able to operate and set up a variety of manual machines as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
