Technical Expertise and Analytics
- Provide technical oversight and strategic management of the CFO Intelligence & Analytics (CIA) Suite.
- Lead data initiatives related to management, analytics, and reporting within the CFO Division.
- Oversee the design and implementation of data solutions, including reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support financial planning, decision-making, and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with CFO leadership to identify data needs and deliver data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
- Identify alignment opportunities to leverage existing resources and determine when new solutions are required.
- Evaluate and enable the use of AI tools when appropriate.
- Ensure the technical performance and reliability of CIA Suite tools and outputs.
- Maintain business continuity of the CIA Suite during the Workday implementation and other large-scale transformation projects.
Data Governance and Strategy
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Own and manage the PUB_FINANCE_DATA_STEWARDS database and future databases.
- Establish governance strategies for database and tool access.
- Ensure data practices align with UFIT initiatives, institutional policies, and industry best practices.
Collaboration and Liaison
- Build and sustain strong relationships with CFO Division and campus data owners.
- Coordinate with UFIT technical resources to support analytics projects.
- Represent the CFO Division on university-level reporting workgroups, as needed.
Campus Enablement
- Support campus stakeholders in adopting and using CIA Suite tools.
- Host meetings, workshops, and trainings to promote tool adoption.
- Develop toolkits, resources, and instructional videos to improve data literacy and tool usage.
Special Projects
Execute special projects and initiatives as assigned by CFO Division leadership. Other duties as assigned$90,000 – $100,000
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Master's degree in information systems, data analytics, data science or other relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics or business intelligence, preferrable in higher education setting
- Experience with financial data at the University of Florida, along with UF systems and applications
- Demonstrated experience with financial data, reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.
