Job Description

  • Provide dynamic, student-focused speech and language therapy tailored to individual needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and supports.
  • Stay informed of the latest practices in speech-language pathology through continued professional learning.
  • Offer support and education to families and staff to promote communication growth beyond therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, including therapy notes, progress reports, and IEP records.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that support language development and speech improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' communication abilities and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and school staff to integrate communication strategies into daily learning environments.

Requirements

  • Professional Educator License with Speech Therapy Endorsement.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Hold or be eligible for a current Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with school-aged children and developing IEPs is strongly preferred.
