SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to respond to emergencies, assess patients; provide treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic & Advanced EMT standard curriculum. Also responsible to transport patients according to established protocols and assist Advance Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management. Must perform non-emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs vans and follow up with complete appropriate documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- AHA BLS required within six (6) months of hire.
- Current certification as an Advanced EMT in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity if certified in another state.
- Valid Driver's license required or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.
- PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
- HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
- Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
