Construction Estimator
We are seeking an experiencedConstruction Estimatorto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire bid process, from preparation to submission.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage bid processes for CM and GC projects.
- Prepare estimates across all design stages: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Docs.
- Perform detailed take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Solicit subcontractor proposals and manage bid packages.
- Review and analyze design documents for pricing accuracy.
- Generate value engineering ideas to optimize project costs.
- Manage the purchase order process post-buyout phase.
- Collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and suppliers for accurate estimates.
- Research and maintain cost data sources to ensure accuracy.
- Attend client and team meetings as needed.
- Conduct post-project analysis of actual vs. estimated costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of estimating experience (commercial interiors, healthcare, and hospitality preferred).
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficient in commercial construction plans, Microsoft Office, and estimating software (PlanSwift, Procore a plus).
