Position DetailsJOB TITLE: Math Teacher – High SchoolLOCATION: Vandercook Lake Middle/High SchoolREPORTS TO: PrincipalPAY RATE/SALARY: Per master contractWORKING DAYS/HOURS: M-F, 7:15-2:45DATE POSTED: November 12, 2025 – UNTIL FILLEDMINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:State of Michigan Teacher’s Certification with an endorsement of Mathematics (EX).Dual certification preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
• Provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students
• Create an atmosphere of academic learning where student voice and ownership of learning is a priority
• Share the responsibility for driving best instructional practices as outlined and in compliance with the Math Department
and 5D+ evaluation tool
• Serve as an innovative instructional leader who communicates the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Math Dept
to all students and parents/guardians, with a high level of integrity and fidelity
• Engage students using best practices for populations and programs that include but are not limited to Title I, Students
with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Multi-Tiered Support Systems (MTSS), 504 plans and English Language
Learners (ELL)
• Participate in opportunities to support student activities after school hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.

state, and district guidelines
• Support students and instruction in co-taught classroom environments and guide learning process toward the
achievement of standards and IEP goals
• Facilitate learning in the classroom (e.g., maintain discipline, encourage participation, consult with parents, school staff,
and other care providers to identify and address social, emotional, and developmental needs)
