We have a brand-new opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our inpatient program affiliated with a major hospital system in Westchester County NY. You would be working amongst 3 different Psychiatrists and 1 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. You would manage a case load of 10-12 patients per day and doing routine medication management. The majority of the patients are dual diagnosis/ co-occuring substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. We offer a very thorough and in-depth training process and are willing to see a new graduate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for this opportunity. The hourly schedule is flexible ranging from 8:30- 4:30 Monday through Friday with no weekend or on call. Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: Port Chester NY
Salary: $160,000 to $180,000
Responsibilities:
Providing medication management
Collaborating and working with Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners on site
Documenting all necessary results in EMR system
Discharging patients to either inpatient programs or out of treatment
Developing treatment plans and adjusting medication accordingly
Providing clinical oversite and working alongside social workers and RN’s
Participating in team meetings and analyzing information based on patient medical report
Speaking with family members regarding patient level of care and improvement
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree Program
Active or in process NY state NP license
Active or in process DEA license
Must work well with team members and have integrated care approach to medicine
