DescriptionKforce's client, a regional public accounting firm in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Audit Supervisor. This firm offers a competitive salary with a year-end bonus along with a good work life balance and benefits. Key Tasks:
- Audit Supervisor will be responsible for managing & performing audits, reviews and compilates for clients in the non-profit industry
- Identifies and communicates to management and audit committee suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
- Identify and delegate functions of the audit to the auditor in charge as deemed appropriate
- Supervise the work of the audit team and review workpapers and conclusions preferably onsite during audit field work
- Identifies and consults with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
- Presents and discuss alternative generally accepted accounting principles and arguments for/against such alternatives
- As an Audit Supervisor, you will draft complex financial statements and related footnote disclosures and effectively communicates these to client
- Identifies complex accounting issues and forms and documents resolution, seeking counsel of the firm's audit partners as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or pursuing CPA
- Minimum 5+ years with public accounting audit for non-profit companies
- Experience with the yellow book is required
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
