Position Summary
Mosaic Early Learning is seeking an experienced, organized, and efficient educational professional for the Site Supervisor position. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a small unit or single site within the program. The Site Supervisor performs administrative functions including completing reports, maintaining administrative records and enrollment lists, scheduling meetings, and supporting staff. This individual addresses areas of concern, performs classroom observations, monitors classroom activities, and assures the continuing training and development of program staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Site Supervisor greets teachers, parents and students daily, listens to and respects others, and embraces diversity in others. This individual provides leadership to the staff, gives and carries out written and oral instructions, and conducts employee evaluations annually. The Site Supervisor treats colleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity. This individual promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicity, cultures and other diversity related factors. The Site Supervisor attends all required staff meetings, program and Center For Family Services activities and reviews progress in professional development with supervisor. This individual checks files to monitor quality assurance, complies newsletter for each site, completes monthly Mosaic Early Learning reports, collects time sheets and completes payroll roster biweekly, and conducts workshops for teachers. The Site Supervisor checks facility to ensure safety and cleanliness and reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines. The Site Supervisor conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center For Family Services' Code of Ethics.
Requirements:
- BA in Early Childhood Education or related field with coursework equivalents to a major in ECE is required but a Master's in Early Childhood Education is preferred
- 2 years of supervisory experience working in a classroom setting
- Must meet current Mandates
- Maintains First Aid and CPR certifications
- Excellent driving skills and current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
