Title: Accountant
Location: Wallingford, CT (Hybrid)
Potential Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 plus Bonus
Key Responsibilities
Process project invoices and resolve vendor payment issues.
Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, including proper application of sales/use tax.
Support Accounts Payable operations by contributing to strategic reviews and identifying process improvements.
Coach project teams on AP procedures and best practices.
Verify banking details for ACH and wire transfers; process electronic bank payment files.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile subledgers and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end close activities.
Support internal and external audit data requests.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience in construction
Strong understanding of AP processes and general ledger accounting.
