DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Stamford, CT. Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Senior Accountant will lead month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely reconciliations of all accounts, (balance sheet, income statement, multiple banks, etc.)
- Prepare budget to actual variance analysis, supplying detailed "drill down" management reports
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Assist with an ERP software data integration and "go live" process
- Support audits and internal control, risk minimization, and process efficiency initiatives
- As a Senior Accountant, you will work with internal teams to ensure financial controls and compliance
- Assist with audit preparation and provide support to external auditors
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting, variance, and/or audit experience
- Management reporting, and multi-entity reconciliation experience
- Contract Analysis and revenue recognition exposure
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
