A dynamic, growth-oriented company is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee its financial operations and drive strategic financial leadership. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to the organization’s overall strategy and transformation.

Title: Controller

Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 +Bonus

Preferred Experience:

Background in dynamic, high-accountability settings.

Familiarity with implementing and integrating financial systems.

Exposure to strategic financial evaluations and business integration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee core financial operations, including ledger management, transaction processing, payroll, and vendor coordination.

Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain robust financial policies, controls, and processes to support organizational growth.

Lead the implementation of scalable financial systems to enhance efficiency and support expansion.

Analyze performance metrics to identify trends and recommend strategies for operational improvement.

Manage corporate records and agreements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Support audits, tax obligations, and strategic financial evaluations for potential business opportunities.

Collaborate across departments to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives.

Drive the adoption of advanced financial systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing tools.

Provide leadership in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for financial initiatives.

Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to advance company objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Advanced credentials or experience in high-growth environments preferred.

10+ years in financial or operational roles with demonstrated leadership.

Strong understanding of financial principles and compliance standards.

Experience with financial systems and tools, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software.

Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on precision.

Proven ability to manage complex projects under tight timelines.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Strategic mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.

Self-driven with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
