Substitute Teacher Assistant - Mosaic Early Learning - Burlington (2627)
Center For Family Service is seeking an experienced educational professional for the Substitute Teacher Assistant Position. This position will assist the Teacher with the daily operations of planning, carrying out classroom activities and maintaining the classroom environment. The Substitute Assistant Teacher may all assist in planning, record keeping and other classroom related duties as assigned by the Teacher.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Substitute Teacher Assistant treats colleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity. This individual promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicity, cultures and other diversity related factors. The Substitute Teacher Assistant is a role model and assists students in completing assignments and staying on assigned tasks. This individual help copy necessary worksheets for instruction, prepares bulletin boards, performs clerical and non-instructional assignments as assigned, help keep the classroom clean and organized and assists teacher with home visits and conferences. The Substitute Teacher Assistant attends all required staff meetings and activities, reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives with supervisor and discusses any issues with designated appropriate staff. Responsible for understanding Mosaic Early Learning Performance Standards and local regulations and also reports any suspected child abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines and conducts self as a role model when interacting with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center For Family Services' Code of Ethics.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Child Development Assoc. (CDA) or higher but an Associate Degree in ECE or related field is preferred
- 1 year experience working in a classroom setting
- Must meet current Head Start Mandates
- Maintains First Aid and CPR certifications
