Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience as a Certified Medication Assistant (QMAP)
- Must have up to date certification in the state ofCO
- CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents/patients
- Document medication administration accurately
- Follow proper procedures for medication storage and disposal
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition
- Assist with daily living activities (eating, bathing, dressing)
- Ensure medication rights are followed (right patient, dose, time, etc.)
- Communicate with nurses and other healthcare staff
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions
- Follow all facility policies and state regulations regarding medication administration
