The candidate will be working with attorneys in a variety of litigation matters and should have a background and experience working in a litigation firm. Must be proactive and have excellent organizational, scheduling and calendaring skills. The ability to multi-task, manage a large caseload and work in a fast-paced environment is also required.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of federal and state statutes, rules, and procedures pertaining to electronic court filings and systems (PACER, NYSCEF, e-law/e-track) as well as basic research capabilities (Lexis/Westlaw).
General Liability Defense Paralegal
Responsibilities include:
- Prepares exhibits and other demonstrative evidence.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure.
- Review, categorize and analyze reports, records, data and discovery responses.
- Capture and record billable time in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- At least 4+ years relevant experience.
