POSITION OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical and Quality Leadership
Provide clinical and operational oversight for Intermediate Care (Med/Surg and Telemetry) units.
Ensure consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care.
Maintain full compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and state regulatory standards.
Lead ongoing process improvement efforts to optimize patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.
Operational Management
Oversee staffing assignments, workflow efficiency, and patient throughput.
Support the Nursing Director in managing departmental budgets and resource utilization.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient care activities.
Team Leadership and Development
Directly manage, mentor, and develop nursing and clinical support staff.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional excellence.
Facilitate education, skills validation, and continuing competency programs.
