Facilities Technician II
The Facilities Technician II provides support to several buildings accross the compass. In addition to managing the upkeep of buildings, the Facilities Technician II maintains facilities equipment in good working condition. The Facilities Tech II maintains communication with end-user(s), and various levels of the Leadership Team, as to impact to Production metrics (safety, productivity, quality, etc.)
Position Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic malfunctions in HVAC, air-compressors, water treatment systems
- Install air lines and their associated components
- Install electrical wiring, conduits, boxes, etc.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks as scheduled in the CMMS.
- Perform sheetrock repairs and paint as needed
- Prioritize tasks and follow established work instructions and procedures
- Work well under minimal supervision
- Communicate with external contractors and vendors as needed
- Adhere closely to safety protocol and all EHS guidelines
- Support the 6S methodology
- Assist in facilities activities as needed
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five (5) years of experience in a similar function
- Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting
- Ability to read mechnical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Working knowledge in 110-220 VAC single-phase and 208-480VAC three-phase electrical systems
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
- Must be able to use a PC to track work orders and communicate with internal and external customers
Must have the ability to perform the following tasks (training may be provided if applicable):
- Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, high-reach boom and scissor lifts
- General machine shop equipment e.g. mills, lathes, CNC, saws, etc.
- Able to stand and/or walk continuously for the duration of the shift
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously
- Able to work at heights of 20 feet or higher
