Cameron's Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electric is looking for an HVAC Service Technician to manage HVAC unit sales, service, and installation operations. Join a family-owned business that values quality, teamwork, and growth, backed by the resources of the Ace Hardware family.
What you'll do as HVAC Service Technician:
– Install, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, & repair residential HVAC systems, including forced-air, hot water, oil, high-velocity, and ductless units.
– Use specialized diagnostic tools to address airflow, fuel, refrigerant, and electrical issues.
– Manage & maintain truck inventory to complete repairs efficiently.
– Educate customers on their home's comfort, efficiency, and safety improvements.
– Support the growth of junior service technicians through mentorship.
– Complete an average of 4 jobs daily, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month).
Our Ideal HVAC Service Technician:
– Experienced: 1+ years of HVAC service and installation experience is required; High school diploma or GED is required; Completion of an HVAC program at a trade school or CTC is a plus.
– Certified: EPA Universal Certification is required; a Maryland or Delaware HVAC Master's or Journeyman's license is a plus.
– Customer-focused: Delivers exceptional service with efficient, accurate work and clear communication.
– Team Player: Works well independently and collaborates smoothly with coworkers.
– Growth-oriented: Ready to help expand the HVAC side of the business and grow into a managerial role.
– Tech-savvy: Experience with House Call Pro or similar dispatch software is a plus.
– Active: Able to work in extreme temperatures, stand, kneel, crawl, climb ladders and roofs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have your own hand tools.
