Position/Job Goal: To foster a school culture of high academic

achievement, and belonging by leading with a clear

instructional vision, supporting effective and inclusive

teaching practices, and ensuring that every student is

seen, heard, and valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead Instructional Excellence: Set the vision for high-quality teaching and learning; support and evaluate instructional practices to ensure academic excellence-including Professional learning Communities, Instructional Rounds, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

• Foster a Safe and Supportive School Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive environment that ensures all students feel safe, respected, and a sense of belonging by implementing restorative practices and PBIS

• Promote Student Achievement and Equity: Analyze data to close achievement gaps, support all learners (including special education and multilingual students), and ensure equitable access to academic opportunities.

• Supervise and Support Staff: Hire, engage in coaching, mentor, and evaluate teachers and staff to build a high-performing, collaborative team.

• Champion Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Integrate SEL practices into the school culture to support student and staff

well-being, self-regulation, and interpersonal skills.

• Engage Families and the Community: Build strong partnerships with parents, caregivers, and community organizations to support student success.

• Manage School Operations and Systems: Oversee daily school functions, including schedules, facilities, safety protocols, and discipline procedures.

• Ensure Student Safety and Crisis Response: Implement emergency preparedness plans and maintain a climate of physical, emotional safety, including behavior threat assessment and suicide prevention protocols.

• Lead School Improvement Planning: Develop and monitor the school improvement plan using data-driven

strategies aligned with district and state goals.

• Implement Curriculum and Assessment Practices

• Ensure curriculum alignment, support assessment literacy among staff, and monitor student progress toward learning standards.

• Support College, Career, and Life Readiness: Provide opportunities and guidance for students to explore post-secondary pathways, including dual enrollment, CTE, and work-based learning.

• Ensure Compliance with Laws and Policies: Uphold all district, state, and federal laws related to education, equity, privacy, and employment.

• Manage Budgets and Resources Strategically: Allocate financial and material resources efficiently to support student learning and school priorities.

• Facilitate Professional Learning: Promote a culture of continuous growth through high-impact professional development and reflective practice.

• Model Ethical and Visionary Leadership: Lead with integrity, transparency, and a clear commitment to student-centered values and long-term school improvement.
