Kindergarten Assistant Teacher - Leave Replacement
Rudolf Steiner School seeks a colleague to serve as a leave replacement for a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher beginning November 1, 2025. The ideal candidate brings experience and enthusiasm for working with young children, ages 2-6. Ideally, strong candidates will possess or be working toward a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher training certificate and will have teaching experience or interest in teaching in a Waldorf school
setting.
The Assistant Teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues daily and in regular departmental, all-school
faculty, and parent meetings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude
- Supporting the Lead Teacher in all classroom activities.
- Preparing snacks for the classroom.
- Leading handwork activities.
- Regular communication with colleagues.
- Full participation in school life including faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, evening
events for current and prospective parents, special school events, and more.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Completion of Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
- Interest in and appreciation for Waldorf Education.
- Commitment to professional growth including further education in Waldorf teaching.
- Versatility, enthusiasm, punctuality, and creativity.
- An ability to collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively, and show positivity in the workplace.
- Commitment to working with the principles of Waldorf Education including human diversity and dignity.

SALARY: The salary range for this position is $40,000 to $60,000, prorated based on the term of the leave replacement.
