This Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) program provides comprehensive care and services to seniors with chronic care needs, allowing them to maintain their independence at home as long as possible. The program offers a full range of health care services for individuals who are eligible for nursing home care but want to remain in their home environment, supporting the philosophy that seniors with chronic care needs are better served in their homes whenever possible.
Opportunity:BLS - Board Certified
This is an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with Fellowship training or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine to become Medical Director of a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
Job Details:
- Provide general medical direction and supervision of medical aspects of participant care
- Responsible for delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
- Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, standards, and protocols
- Provide direction and supervision to Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and APPs
- Provide leadership and guidance to program colleagues and providers in the local community
- Conduct history and physical examinations on new participants with periodic reassessments
- Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services
- Interview and evaluate applicants to PACE Organization and participate in Intake and Assessment decisions
- Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and in team/family conferences
- Educate participants and families regarding health maintenance and chronic medical conditions
- Supervise health care and treatment programs developed by the interdisciplinary team
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with frail or elderly population required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
- Board Certification in Geriatrics or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine highly preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 403(b) retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, professional dues and association fees, and CME allowance.
