Laborer (Shop)
Kraemer North America is currently looking for aLaborerto join our shop team in Plain, WI. The Yard Laborer is responsible for a wide range of tasks and duties. The main focus of this position is assisting in the carpenter shop/welding shop and warehouse department. Additional duties include sandblasting, delivering material to projects, maintaining bridge construction related hardware as well as facility maintenance at both the construction yard and main office. This person will engage in receiving, storing, and maintaining machines, equipment, materials, and supplies in the construction yard.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the carpenter shop/welding shop and warehouse department
- Sand blast and paint work
- Deliver material to projects
- Maintain bridge construction related hardware
- Perform facility and yard maintenance at the construction yard and main office
- Perform miscellaneous tasks involving the recycling and repair of re-usable inventory items
- Build boxes for shipping supplies
- Load and unload trucks occasionally
- Ensure compliance with Kraemer Safety and Quality Programs
- Sort and stock incoming material
- Drive a forklift, bobcat, pickup, and trailer
- Remove snow
- Lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Travel to job sites and other division yards
Requirements
- Minimum two years of related experience
- Familiarity with welding, cutting torch, and painting
- Ability to work in unpleasant weather; sandblasting frequently requires worker to perform in extreme heat
- CDL License is preferred
- Valid drivers license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at various heights utilizing appropriate PPE
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and dusty/dirty surroundings
- Repetitive use of hands and wrists with various tools, including fine motor movements and manipulations
