Job Overview

We are seeking a Retail Auditor to join our team. As a Retail Auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the integrity of retail operations. Your primary duties will include auditing inventory, sales transactions, cash handling, and compliance with company policies. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will help drive operational improvements and ensure accuracy across all areas of the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Operational Audits:

    • Perform audits on various store operations including inventory levels, sales records, cash management, and store compliance.

    • Identify discrepancies and operational inefficiencies and report findings to management.

  • Inventory & Financial Reconciliation:

    • Review and reconcile inventory to identify and address shrinkage, overstock, and discrepancies.

    • Analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy in sales and transactions.

  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and safety protocols during audits.

    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.

  • Collaboration & Training:

    • Work closely with store managers and employees to implement audit findings and improve operational practices.

    • Offer guidance to the team on best practices for minimizing errors and enhancing efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting, business, or a related field is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Previous retail auditing or financial oversight experience preferred.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in using retail software, POS systems, and inventory management tools.

    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to travel to different store locations as required.

    • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate records and reports.
