Family Law Legal Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Family Law Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in delivering exceptional service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and has a passion for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and file legal documents like petitions, motions, and agreements with precision.
  • Manage case files, track deadlines, and keep everything organized and on schedule.
  • Act as a friendly point of contact for clients, scheduling meetings and providing updates.
  • Assist with legal research and court filings to support our attorneys.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and care.
  • Keep our office humming with administrative tasks like calendaring and billing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma (required); degree or certificate in paralegal/legal studies (a plus).
  • Experience in a law office or as a legal assistant (family law experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills—details matter here!
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in emotional or high-pressure situations.
  • A team player with empathy and a knack for problem-solving.
