We are a sophisticated, market-leading law firm seeking a highly motivated and experiencedTitle Coordinatorto join our established Real Estate Practice Group. This vital role supports attorneys in high-volume, complex transactions by expertly managing the critical due diligence processes of title, survey, and zoning review. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of operating independently across our multi-office platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Title Analysis:Conduct comprehensive, detailed review of title commitments, exception documents, and underlying instruments (deeds, mortgages, easements, etc.).
- Survey Reconciliation:Analyze and reconcile boundary surveys, ensuring legal descriptions align with title documents and proactively identifying potential issues like encroachments, access problems, or boundary discrepancies.
- Zoning Due Diligence:Manage the end-to-end process of obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing zoning reports, municipal permits, and land use approvals for complex commercial and residential properties.
- Coordination:Serve as the primary liaison between attorneys, title companies, surveyors, lenders, and zoning departments to resolve complex issues efficiently and timely.
- Project Management:Manage multiple closing schedules and project timelines simultaneously, ensuring all pre-closing due diligence is complete, accurate, and ready for closing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of3+ years of direct experiencein title review, survey analysis, and zoning due diligence, preferably within a commercial real estate law firm or title agency setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex legal descriptions, endorsements, and real estate transactional documents.
