Azure Cloud Architect

for our premier client in

New York,New York.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:Technical Requirements and Certifications »
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
Education and Experience »
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degree (preferred).
  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud experience, with 4+ years focused on Azure cloud architecture.
  • Proven experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
  • Expert proficiency in deployment and optimization of Azure services including networking (VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall, Express Route), identity (Entra ID), compute (VMs, AVD), and storage (Blob, Files, Disk).
  • Expert proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), scripting (PowerShell), and DevOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with secure collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Intune, Conditional Access).
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Job Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
  • Develop automation scripts for repeatable deployments.
  • Define tagging, cost controls, policy enforcement, and identity/access management (IAM) strategies.
Collaboration & Support:
  • Partner with application owners, IT infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth migration and ongoing operations of workloads in Azure.
  • Support investigations, incident response, and security audits involving cloud assets.
Innovation & Optimization:
  • Continuously evaluate new Azure services, automation capabilities, and tools to enhance productivity and reduce risk.
  • Guide optimization of cost, performance, and operational efficiency across the Azure estate.
Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and govern security best practices including Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure Security Center.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to enforce encryption (at rest/in transit), DLP, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, such as ISO 27001.
