Job SummaryRest Stop Ministries, Inc. (RSM), a faith-based nonprofit (501c3) in the Greater Nashville, TN area dedicated to comprehensive, holistic, trauma-informed healing and economic empowerment of female survivors of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, is recruiting for a Director of Clinical Programs to lead our program team.
The Director of Clinical Programs provides leadership and oversight for Rest Stop Ministries’ clinical programs, including our Residential and Alumni Aftercare services, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care for survivors of sex trafficking. This role is responsible for program management, growth, and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on standardizing best practices, fostering clear team communication, and strengthening systems of care. The Director supervises direct care staff, provides clinical expertise, and (with assistance) ensures that volunteers and interns are engaged in meaningful ways to support holistic healing. This position ensures program consistency, alignment with organizational goals, and measurable outcomes that reflect the ongoing excellence and sustainability of our clinical programs. The ideal candidate is a licensed counselor or social worker in the state of Tennessee, has experience applying clinical skills to female trauma, substance abuse, victim assistance, and/or human trafficking, and has demonstrated experience leading and organizing a clinical program with supervision responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage psychosocial, clinical programs and services for residents and alumni of our program
- Develop and enhance our programs to ensure comprehensive provision of trauma-informed services, including trauma therapy, case management, support groups, educational programs, social events, and healthy lifestyle programs
- Produce, organize, and oversee the program schedule
- Nurture and maintain an active pipeline of referral sources, ensuring a consistent stream of incoming residents
- Provide oversight of all direct care services, ensuring a seamless system of care between the direct care day staff and the residential staff
- Identify and develop a psychosocial curriculum for residents and staff
- Utilizing appropriate de-escalation or crisis intervention skills, oversee interventions regarding emergent care, medical-detox, respite care, relapse care, etc., for RSM graduates or alumni
- Build professional relationships and partnerships with referring agencies and other survivor resource providers, locally and nationally
- Monitor and ensure the quality of service and program effectiveness through regular survivor assessments and analysis of programs
- Actively supervise, train, develop, and recognize direct care staff
This is position is a full-time, on-site in Lebanon, TN. Occasional weekends and evenings may be required. An occasional overnight stay may be required in emergent situations.
Qualifications- Due to the sensitive nature of our work with female survivors of sex trafficking, this position is only open to females.
- Minimum: Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Tennessee or with the ability to be licensed in Tennessee within a mutually agreed upon amount of time;
- Preferred : LPC/MHSP, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of Tennessee
- At least five years’ experience in case management or equivalent position, applying clinical skills with individuals and support groups, preferably with female trauma, substance abuse, sexual exploitation, victim assistance, and/or human trafficking populations
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate best practices around counseling/social work services for at-risk individuals and working with persons in crisis
- Working knowledge of community resources and demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with community providers
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and gain trust with diverse populations
- Successful supervisory or management experience, with the ability to motivate others toward goal achievement and teamwork
- Excellent organizational skills
- Moderate level of computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, and databases (or Google equivalents). Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Must have a heart and a passion for seeing the broken restored
