Early Childhood Special Education Teacher – 2025–2026 School Year

We are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (LBS1 endorsed) for the upcoming school year to provide specialized support for preschool students with diverse learning needs in a caring and inclusive environment.

In this role, you will partner with families, classroom aides, therapists, and fellow educators to design a learning atmosphere that nurtures both academic and functional skill development. You will take the lead in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), applying data-driven practices to strengthen independence, communication, and early social-emotional growth.

Your classroom will serve as a structured, supportive space where each child feels valued and motivated to thrive. Daily responsibilities will include ongoing progress monitoring, active engagement in IEP meetings, and adapting instruction to meet evolving student needs. With strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, student-centered mindset, you will build meaningful connections that inspire confidence and success in every learner.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education. A degree in Special Education or a closely related field is required (Bachelor’s minimum, Master’s preferred). Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in early childhood development, behavioral support techniques, and a team-centered mindset. Previous experience in a preschool or early learning environment is advantageous but not required.
