Job Summary:
Manages external referral process including booking appointments, providing patients referral form, closing referrals quarterly, and verifies outside appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the external referral process. Provides patients with referral forms, calls office and books appointments, closes referrals, communicates with outside offices, verifies appointments and obtains notes as needed.
Schedule authorizations and coordinate all procedures.
Work closely with clinical affiliates to facilitate referrals for surgery and other procedures.'
Assists with registration and check out for all patients and other patients as needed. Obtains correct patient demographic and insurance information.
Verifies patient information when scheduling appointments.
Triages incoming call appropriately scheduling patient appointments or directing calls throughout the practice.
Attends and participates in monthly practice meetings.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School/GED with 1-3 minimum years of experience in job-related field or equivalent required.
Medical Office experience required.
Must possess excellent customer service skills, computer proficiency, team player, and familiarity with medical terminology.
