We invite applications for a tenure-track position beginning August 1, 2026, from candidates who are passionate about undergraduate teaching and committed to the integration of business and economics within a liberal arts framework. Successful applicants will demonstrate teaching excellence in micro/macroeconomics and analytics (introductory and advanced levels), and finance, international economics, and/or entrepreneurship. Ideal candidates will show evidence of effective student mentorship, academic advising, career development, and experience involving alumni and/or community members in student support and mentorship. Opportunities for program leadership are available, particularly for candidates with prior leadership experience in academic settings.
A master’s degree in economics or a related field is required; Ph.D. is strongly preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Rank will be determined based on professional and academic experience. The standard teaching load is 4 + 4 across two semesters.
Founded in 1858, Baker University is the oldest university in Kansas. Housed within the College of Arts and Sciences on the Baldwin City campus, our Department offers bachelor's degrees in Accounting*, Business*, Economics, International Business*, and Sports Administration (*accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)).
