Premier Health is seeking a visionary and collaborative executive leader to serve as theSystem Director of Ambulatory Cardiopulmonary Services. This critical role provides direct operational and financial oversight for a broad range of ambulatory services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, standardized, and patient-centered care across multiple sites within the health system. Key Responsibilities
The Director is responsible for the system-wide strategy, operations, and financial performance for the following key areas:
- Service Line Oversight:Direct operational and financial management of all Premier Health Outpatient ECHO, Stress Testing, EKG, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab services.
- Clinic Management:Oversight of all Premier Health hospital-based cardiology clinics and outpatient sleep services/clinics.
- System Standardization:Lead initiatives to systemize and standardize processes and operations across all Premier Health sites of care to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Strategic Growth:Collaborate with operational site leaders, Christ JOA leadership, and service line leaders to develop and execute strategies for volume growth and enhanced patient experience.
- Quality & Compliance:Work with Medical Directors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure all operations meet regulatory requirements, quality expectations, and organizational goals.
- Team Leadership:Exercise full management authority over supervised staff (approximately 118 FTEs), including performance reviews, hiring, and discipline.
- Fiscal Management:Manage the operating budget and maintain financial accountability, including the approval and monitoring of expenditures.
- Integrated Care:Partner closely with the System Director of Diagnostic and Procedural Cardiology to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery of both inpatient and outpatient services.
Education:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree.
- Preferred: Master's Degree.
Area of Study Preferred: Healthcare or Business.
Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably within cardiopulmonary, ambulatory, or diagnostic services.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change, standardization, and performance improvement across a complex, multi-site system.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills to partner effectively with medical staff, service line executives, and site leaders.
Reporting Structure:
This position has a direct line reporting to the Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Medical Imaging, with a dotted line reporting to the Cardiovascular service line and Premier Health – Christ JOA. The Director is an integral member of the JOA operations team.
