The Heart and Vascular Institute in State College is looking for a full-time outpatient Dual Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Adult ECHO and Pediatric ECHO) to join our talented and well-established cardiovascular team including cardiac RN’s, Physicians, a CRNP, and two Dual Registered Adult Sonographers.
The candidate should want to be part of an experienced and successful team while having strong patient and scanning skills with the following additional preferred experience:
2 years with experience in Adult Echo AND Pediatric EchoThe sonographer will need to be proficient at scanning all ages (from neonates to geriatric), complex congenital pathology, adult stress testing (exercise and pharmacological), contrast administration (LV opacification and agitated saline), and IV insertion/removal for adult patients (training available) as well as being comfortable and independent once fully trained.
The position is full time consisting of five 8-hour days with 1-2 days at the pediatric location and 3-4 days at the adult location per week. Both sites are located in State College, Pennsylvania. The position may require some initial travel to Hershey Medical Center during the training process. Both Mileage reimbursement and/or hotel accommodations are available during the training period.

The candidate for this position has the opportunity to expand their imaging skills, their knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology and their interpersonal skills, all while providing high-level academic cardiac imaging in the community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be ARDMS or CCI registered or registry eligible. If registry eligible must be registered one (1) year after graduation date.
- Must obtain BLS certification within three (3) months from hire.
