This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring timely material flow across production areas.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead material handlers, forklift drivers, and inventory control staff on the Crew
Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines and accurate shipping/receiving processes
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and ERP updates
Monitor and enforce safety procedures related to material movement and storage
Communicate supply shortages or overages to planners and management
Support root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions
Coordinate with production, planning, quality, and logistics teams to meet operational goals
Assist in training and development of team members to support cross-functionality and career growth
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and ISO standards
Qualifications & Requirements
3+ years of experience in material handling or logistics within a manufacturing environment
Prior supervisory or team lead experience required
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus
Must be available to work schedule and flexible to meet business needs
