The Tennessee Medical Association seeks a Development Coordinator to provide comprehensive fundraising and administrative support for the Tennessee Foundation for Quality Patient Healthcare (TFQPH) while serving as primary administrative support for the Senior Director of Leadership Programs and Education. This dual-focused position combines foundation development work with administrative coordination. Job ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate TFQPH Board meetings including scheduling, materials preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up
- Manage donor relations including gift processing, acknowledgements, database maintenance, and stewardship activities
- Support fundraising campaigns, solicitation mailings, and annual giving initiatives
- Track fundraising metrics and prepare campaign performance reports
- Coordinate grant reporting to funding sources and maintain compliance documentation
- Monitor foundation budget and coordinate financial reporting with accounting department
- Collaborate with marketing staff on fundraising materials and communications collateral
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Senior Director including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
- Support organizational board and committee meetings with logistics and materials preparation
- Maintain donor database and generate reports on fundraising performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years work experience, preferably in nonprofit or fundraising environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential donor information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines
- Proactive team player with collaborative approach
- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems preferred
