The Education and Professional Development Coordinator manages projects and logistics for CLE programs, section/committee meetings and special events related to the legal community. This role oversees communication, scheduling, vendor coordination, volunteer management, budgeting, and follow-up to ensure programs run smoothly and meet member needs.
Job ResponsibilitiesII. Essential Job Duties
Program and Event Management
• Plan and manage CLE programs, including topic and curriculum development, speaker coordination, logistics and accreditation. • Handle venue selection, catering, A/V needs, materials and contracts for onsite and offsite events. • Track budgets, process invoices and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Coordinate post-program follow-up, including evaluations, reimbursements and promotion of online materials. • Support other TBA events such as the Annual Convention.
Communication and Member Support
• Serve as the main point of contact for section and committee chairs. • Draft and distribute newsletters, updates and meeting communications. • Draft and implement marketing communications related to CLE. • Maintain accurate leadership rosters and section webpages. • Relay legislative updates between sections and Government Affairs. • Build relationships with firms, law schools, legal organizations and community stakeholders related to assigned sections. • Provide member and CLE customer support as needed.
Meeting Coordination
• Schedule, organize and participate in section and committee meetings as assigned. • Draft agendas, prepare materials and take detailed meeting notes. • Track action items and ensure timely follow-up. • Provide onsite/virtual meeting support, including A/V setup.
Project Support
• Assist with section initiatives, resolutions and special projects. • Collaborate with staff across departments to deliver CLE and professional development programming. • Contribute content to publications and marketing materials as needed.

VI. Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Hybrid work environment with some in-office presence required • Frequent statewide travel and occasional overnight travel required • Availability for evening and weekend events and reasonable off-hours communication with volunteers, members and stakeholders • Availability during peak CLE season • Must be able to lift and transport event materials (up to 25 lbs.) • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
QualificationsVII. Qualifications
The required knowledge, skill and abilities to satisfactorily perform job duties are normally acquired through attainment of a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, professional development programming, nonprofit management, legal community engagement or related roles. The preferred candidate will have experience in member-based or volunteer-led organizations, familiarity with the legal system although not required.
